Quiz-n-Spell© - Patch Updates

Latest Downloads

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Network and Personal Patch Versions are NOT interchangeable!
Different major number versions of the same Quiz-n-Spell Network/Personal Patch Version are NOT interchangeable!

Example: If you bought Quiz-n-Spell Personal Version 1.5 and want to update it to version 1.7, that will work. If you bought Quiz-n-Spell Personal Version 1.5 and try to update that to Quiz-n-Spell Network Version 1.6, that will NOT work. If you bought Quiz-n-Spell Network Version 1.5 and want to upgrade it to version 2.2, that will NOT work.

See the Update Patch List for a list of what fixes/changes have been made to the latest version.

Quiz-n-Spell Version

The default "extract to" path for the Quiz-n-Spell executables is:
		C:\Program Files\QuiznSpell\QnSBin
(Be sure to close Quiz-n-Spell if it is running before upgrading. For upgrade on default installation, just copy and paste the path into the 'extract to' box. You should not need to reboot to be able to run the patched version.)

Download Procedure:

Downloading and installing the patches are similar for both the Network and Personal Versions.

Close Quiz-n-Spell if it is running. Then click the appropriate patch file above (either Personal or Network version), and extract. The default "extract to" path for the Quiz-n-Spell executables is:

		C:\Program Files\QuiznSpell\QnSBin
(For upgrade on default installation, just copy and paste the path into the 'extract to' box. You should not need to reboot to be able to run the patched version.)

If you accepted the default location when you originally installed Quiz-n-Spell, you won't have to change any information for the patches to install.

Or, if you want to save the patch file, do the following:

Click the link (above) of the patch version you want to download. Your browser should ask what you want to do with the .zip file. Select "Save it to disk", and then save it to the Windows Desktop. The Windows Desktop will be the very top item in the "Save in" list of the popup "Save As" dialog box. (Of course, you can save it anywhere you want; the Desktop is just a suggestion since it is easy to find there.)

[NOTE: If your browser doesn't ask, but instead just tries to execute the file, then you may need to consult your browser's documentation for information on how to save a file of MIME type .zip.]

Note the name of the zip file, which will likely be something like "QuiznSpellPER.exe", or "QuiznSpellNW.exe".

After saving the file to your desktop, you can copy it to a network location or save it on removable media such as a thumbdrive or burn it on a CD.
